Brings back the memories of 10 years ago when I was working at Tata Motors (known as TELCO) at their styling studio in Pune. I was part of the design team that conceptualized the micro car Zing...(and I am happy to add that it was based on one of my sketches). It was born of a desire to create a car that was smaller and affordable to the masses...a dream that was shared by many in the company including Mr. Ratan Tata. I left the company in 1999 to pursue other interests in the US. I am very proud and happy that Mr. Ratan Tata and his team saw promise in the tiny car and finally turned it into a reality in the form of Tata Nano....even if it took 10 long years.
