Last week, I saw this poster for the Sony Ericsson WTA Series, that was held in Bangalore, stuck over a local bus and later saw them at a lot of other places. The poster spoke about Sania and Serena (Williams) in hot tennis action at the WTA tournament.
Serena Williams withdrew from the tournament 2 weeks prior to its commencement. But the sponsors probably had got the posters for the tournament printed much earlier than that. Instead of considering it as a sunk cost and dumping the posters, they must have decided to go ahead and paste them all over the place.
Doesn’t make a difference, no? Serena’s presence or absence .. who cares? Our folks would have been interested in seeing Sania only, right?
