Suzuki Swift Sport and Skoda Fabia RS

swift_sport_yellow1.jpg

Sometime ago (about 6-8 months ago), there was news that Maruti was considering bringing the Sport version of Swift to India witout altering it much, just that the wheel dimensions could get reduced from 16″ to 15″ and be shod with 195/60 R15 tyres. Else, the variant was expected to be exactly similar to its foreign siblings. The vehicle boasts of a 125 bhp, 1.6 L engine which has a higher power to weight ratio than the Skoda Octavia RS and can beat it in a 0-100 kmph sprint. The model was even supposed to include Sparco seats.

Last month, I heard that Skoda when it brings in its Fabia would get the 140 bhp RS variant along as well. I love the Ocatvia RS and dream of owning it some day, but if they bring in the Fabia RS, I will buy it immediately - provided it behaves exactly the way one would expect Ocatvia RS’s younger sibling to and is more charged up than the Swift Sport.

Will we only be hearing about these cars or will we actually get to drive them on our roads?

Fabia has come a long way by now. www.fabiafeelspecial.com is beautiful expression of its style, body language and character. People have started booking the car without even taking a test ride. Speaks volumes for reputation

fabia is a nice hatch but skoda’s poor network and high maintainance cost is an issue. Petrol Version is not currently available with dealers. Interior in base model is not so attractive..But still its a worth buy
